Malaga

It is located in Andalusia, southern Spain. The main city is Malaga, where Pablo Picasso was born, and it has monuments such as the Alcazaba. In this city, the Holy Week, declared as Fiesta of International Tourist Interest.

The province, bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, has a coastline of 160 kilometres with a multitude of beaches and marinas. The city of Marbella, known by many as the golf capital of Europe, stands out.

Its gastronomic offer is mainly based on fried small fish (anchovies, red mullet, horse mackerel…) and typical recipes such as gazpacho.

Art and Museums

Malaga is a city full of historic sites such as the Alcazaba, one of the largest Arab fortresses in Andalusia, or the Gibralfaro Castle, from where you can get what are probably the best views of the whole city. At the foot of the castle lies the Roman theatre and a historic quarter made for strolling. Its streets are lined with corners such as the Atarazanas Market where you can have a vermouth and monuments such as the Cathedral, known as “La Manquita” (“The One-handed”) because of its unfinished right tower.
