When and where was it held?

Last February 2019 more than 60 professionals of the Spanish teaching sector in Spain met at the Annual Convention organized by FEDELE, held in Madrid on February 21 and 22 at the Vincci Soma Hotel.


The event was attended by Carmen Noguero Galilea, General Secretary of the Instituto Cervantes, Richard Bueno Academic, Director of the Instituto Cervantes and Ángela Castaño, Deputy Director of the S.G. of Strategy and Services of Turespaña.

The conference offered attendees presentations on digital marketing by Miguel Ángel Florido and legal labor with the assistance of Ignacio Sampere and specific presentations on the SIELE exams.

During the convention, the Sectorial Report of FEDELE was presented, a document that gathers with very complete data the tendencies in the teaching of Spanish.

Different current topics affecting the Spanish teaching sector and the FEDELE schools were also discussed, where the participants had the opportunity to discuss in groups the way they see the Spanish teaching sector in Spain and the trends that are marked in all fields of this business action to establish a line of work for 2019 on the issues that affect the sector of teaching Spanish such as the temporality that exists in the sector, the trends of international markets, the visas’ problems , the intrusiveness, the non-regulated training agreement, the professionals of the ELE schools and the recognition of the sector by the institutions, among many others.

Next edition:

The next edition of the Annual Convention of FEDELE, will be next year (2020) and the chosen city is still to be decided within the organ of representation of the entity.
