CREA Isla Salamanca
CREA is an event for Spanish as a Foreign Language teachers, both native and non-native speakers and also for trainee teachers. This session, which aims to create a space for dialogue in which impressions and experiences can be shared, is organised by ISLA, a Spanish language school which has been operating for more than twenty-five years. Different technological and dynamic resources for the Spanish as a Foreign Language classroom will be presented within a participatory environment to encourage the exchange of the participants’ different points of view.

This aim is consistent with the spirit which has defined ISLA in the last few years, that of constant creation and evaluation of new teaching materials, tools which adapt to the new type of student and teacher. ISLA is committed to creating online resources, 160 of which are already freely accessible, and to the creation of new classroom activities.

CREA will be focussed on new technologies and innovative proposals for the Spanish as a Foreign Language classroom and this focus will link the various talks and workshops. There will also be spaces, generally in the afternoon, where more classical topics will be dealt with, for example music and image in the SFL classroom and, especially for non-native teachers, the teaching of Spanish grammar.

CREA’s main objective is the exchange of ideas among the participants and there will, therefore, be a considerable amount of time made available for open discussion and for putting into practice with real students ideas which arise during the discussions and workshops. Two new projects, “El Espejo” and “Tú decides”, will be presented at the conference.

Everyone attending the event will be able to take part in all the afternoon and evening activities on the programme, these include a welcome drink, a cookery class, wine tasting and pairing and an open-air farewell party.
