Since 2003, there has been a collaboration agreement between FEDELE and Instituto Cervantes, whose purpose is the promotion and universal dissemination of the Spanish language, and where FEDELE is recognized as a business representative in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language sector given its territorial implementation.

Turespaña

Since 2008, FEDELE has been collaborating with TURESPAÑA, a public body attached to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism through the State Secretariat of Tourism, responsible of the promotion of Spain as a destination to travel to, promotion of language tourism in Spain, contributing to boost the promotion and dissemination of the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language, understanding this educational activity as an outstanding tourism resource.

    ICEX

    Since 2018, FEDELE is recognized by ICEX as a Collaborating Entity of ICEX Spain Export and Investment, E.P.E., M.P,

    ICEX Spain Export and Investment “is a public entity whose main purpose is the promotion of the internationalization of the economy and the Spanish business and the improvement of its competitiveness, as well as the attraction and promotion of foreign investment in Spain”

    Telefónica Educación Digital

    Since 2016, there has been a collaboration agreement between FEDELE and Telefónica Educación Digital with the objective of promoting the commercialization and promotion among its federated centers of the SIELE exams, the International Service of Evaluation of the Spanish Language that certifies the proficiency degree in Spanish through electronic media aimed at students and professionals from the five continents.

    It is promoted by Instituto Cervantes, the National Autonomous university of Mexico, the University of Salamanca and the University of Buenos Aires, which guarantees quality standards in the elaboration of the tests, and the use of different linguistic varieties of the Hispanic World.

    SIELE certifies the degree of competence in the Spanish language through four tests: Reading Comprehension, listening Comprehension, Written Expression, and Oral Expression; and takes as reference the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) levels of the Council of Europe.

    Tourism Board

    Since September 2020, the Federation has been a member of the Tourism Board, an organization that brings together more than 60 members, including prestigious tourism professionals and entrepreneurs.

    The raison d’être of the Tourism Board is to contribute to the socio-economic recognition of tourism, providing an effective and positive action of influence in favour of this activity. Consequently, the Board has set itself the specific objectives of collaborating with public and private activities and efforts.

    The Tourism Board is committed to strengthening this strategy of quality and renewal in order to consolidate the leadership of the Spanish tourism sector. To this end, it maintains a permanent relationship with the Public Administrations – state, regional and municipal – to analyse the issues that arise for tourism activity in our country and to offer solutions to them.

    In the words of the president of the Tourism Board, “They are working to forge a solid alliance of great tourism professionals and entrepreneurs who share an integrating vision of their different sub-sectors and the objective of valuing the contribution of all of them to a society with more resources and capabilities”. In addition, he points out the importance of “the sector having a powerful and appropriate dialogue at this time is fundamental”.

    SEA. Asociación de centros de idiomas (Argentina)

    En 2023 se ha firmado un nuevo convenio marco de colaboración entre FEDELE y SEA para el desarrollo del sector de la enseñanza de español para extranjeros en ambos países. Este acuerdo tiene como principal objetivo fomentar el desarrollo del sector de la enseñanza de español para extranjeros que camine hacia el futuro basándose en la calidad, la acreditación, la certificación, la formación de profesionales del sector y la cooperación de todos los agentes que operan en la industria.

    En este sentido ambas organizaciones acuerdan desarrollar proyectos específicos que vayan orientados a la mejora de la calidad en ámbitos específicos.

    En cuanto a la formación de profesores y gestores, FEDELE y SEA colaborarán en la organización y celebración de acciones de capacitación, como seminarios o cursos que favorezcan el intercambio de experiencias sobre la enseñanza de español a extranjeros.

    Con respecto al desarrollo de mercado y a la recogida de información sectorial, FEDELE y SEA se comprometen a acometer acciones específicas que contribuyan a la mejora del conocimiento sector ELE tales como sondeos o informes tanto de carácter general como de cuestiones específicas.

    Atendiendo a la certificación, tanto FEDELE como SEA se comprometen a apoyar y difundir los certificados oficiales de español.

    FECEI

    La Federación Española de Centros de Enseñanza de Idiomas (FECEI) se fundó en 1980 y está integrada por asociaciones regionales de centros de enseñanza de idiomas, además de centros de enseñanza de idiomas individuales. Tiene como fines básicos coordinar la actuación de las diferentes asociaciones afiliadas y centros de idiomas para que su Comité Directivo pueda establecer una política y actuación general y nacional, fomentar la defensa de los intereses de los miembros, establecer servicios asistenciales, promover actos de carácter formativo o cultural, e intervenir en la negociación colectiva laboral. Además de representar gestionar y defender los intereses de nuestro sector, FECEI vela por el prestigio de las asociaciones y centros afiliados, fomenta la unidad entre asociaciones, promueve un espíritu de compañerismo y solidaridad, e impide la competencia desleal.

    Los objetivos de la colaboración entre ambas instituciones son:

    Fomentar la Colaboración entre FECEI y FEDELE en iniciativas y proyectos que beneficien a ambas entidades y a sus socios/miembros, mediante el intercambio de buenas prácticas y otros recursos.

    Investigación de oportunidades para colaborar en proyectos y eventos que enriquezcan la experiencia de aprendizaje de los estudiantes de ambas organizaciones y fortalezcan sus vínculos.

    En materia de representación Institucional, ambas organizaciones se comprometen a representar y defender los intereses de los centros de enseñanza de idiomas ante las autoridades educativas, instituciones relevantes como organizaciones sindicales y empresariales, e incluso ante el gran público, siempre en cumplimiento con el marco legal de cada organización y las regulaciones establecidas.

    En promoción de la Calidad Educativa, FECEI y FEDELE se comprometen a promover estándares de calidad en la enseñanza de idiomas, con el objetivo de asegurar la excelencia académica y el desarrollo integral de los estudiantes.

    UDIMA

    Desde 2025, existe un convenio con la Universidad a Distancia de Madrid. UDIMA y FEDELE se comprometen a fomentar el intercambio de experiencias y personal en los campos de la docencia, la investigación, la cultura y la cooperación al desarrollo dentro de aquellas áreas en las cuales ambas tengan interés manifiesto.

    AATSP

    The AATSP (American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese) is a professional organization that fosters and supports the learning and teaching of the Spanish and Portuguese languages, as well as their literatures and Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian cultures, at all educational levels. Since its founding in 1917, the association has made significant contributions to the development of Spanish and Portuguese language education in the United States and around the world.

    BELTA

    Founded in 1992, Belta – the Brazilian Educational and Language Travel Association is a non-profit organization and the first of its kind in Latin America. It currently brings together 49 international education agencies in Brazil, with more than 300 points of sale across the country, and around 60 international collaborators who offer products or services to the agencies.

    Belta is also an information portal for Brazilian students and a source for the press through the Belta Seal Market Research.

    Some of the areas in which this collaboration will be developed include:

    BELTA

    Felca is the forum of national language and education travel associations from around the world. Its members include the national associations of Albania, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand and Turkey.

    The members of these national associations are individual businesses whose role is to advise and guide students who wish to travel abroad to study at a language school, high school or university.

    Some of the areas in which this collaboration will be developed include:
