La Mancha
About the centre
The adventure of teaching Spanish began 12 years ago and since then La Mancha has never stopped growing. Some students consider it not only a school, but also a place to feel the culture of Spanish-speaking countries. The school has teachers from different Spanish-speaking countries: Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Costa Rica, Cuba, Bolivia, Venezuela and Spain.
Since 2019, the school is a DELE examination center associated with the Cervantes Institute in Warsaw, and the Cervantes Institute based in Madrid. In addition to this project, La Mancha has a specialized language bookstore, Hiszpańska Książka, although it mainly focuses on Spanish. Among other manuals, we are proud to present our own “Español en Vivo A1”, which has an interactive Ebook version and a printed version. There is also a series of graded reading ebooks called Aventura. In these books, readers can discover short stories about some Latin American countries.
For our students, La Mancha has different activities both inside and outside the school. We organize thematic meetings in the so-called: Mancharlas, which have been held since the 2018 academic year. Once a month, we hold a quiz about Spanish-speaking countries and karaoke in Spanish. Since 2021 we started with cultural and learning weekends, which are held twice a year in a natural environment. This weekend is focused so that Spanish students have the opportunity to speak Spanish, meet other students and develop all the skills related to learning a language in a playful way. In addition, we collaborate with other friendly schools in Spain for courses abroad. La Mancha is the meeting point for Spanish lovers, both from Triciudad or Tres Ciudades, as well as for students from outside this area.
This new school year we want to launch a new offer based on an affiliation program with different services that are part of the Hispanic culture and thanks to which the Hispanophiles of the Three Cities will be able to easily find everything they need. Little by little, we are creating a database of restaurants, stores, dance schools and all the places related in some way to what we like the most, that is, Spanish and Latin culture broadly understood.
