Spanish Gap Year

Spanish Gap Year is the Spanish branch of ID Languages, established in Ireland since 2013. We specialise in educational language learning trips in Spain and Ireland.

Our flagship programmes in Spain are:

• Spain by Train: a three-month itinerant programme in which young adults travel to six different regions of Spain by train, while learning Spanish through gastronomy, history, art in all its forms, adventure sports, experiences shared with Spaniards their own age and family stays. We spent three weeks in the Basque Country, one week on the Camino de Santiago, three weeks in Salamanca, one week in Madrid, three weeks in Granada and one week in Barcelona.
• Future Leaders: a quarterly programme that combines an internship with a sustainable entrepreneurship competition, based in Madrid and Barcelona. In Future Leaders, students choose their internship sector (which they attend in the mornings) and participate in an idea incubator in the afternoons to develop business ideas with their teams and mentors.

In Ireland we are dedicated to summer, mini-stay and academic cultural immersion programmes and online we work primarily B2B, providing language courses to companies who need to train their staff to work with different international markets and clients.

Our mission is to assist our young and adult learners in their professional and personal growth through meaningful language, cultural and work experiences. We work from a focus on sustainability and intercultural competence.
