{"id":3938,"date":"2018-10-18T10:23:53","date_gmt":"2018-10-18T10:23:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogenglish.fedele.org\/?p=504"},"modified":"2019-11-26T14:36:56","modified_gmt":"2019-11-26T14:36:56","slug":"training-programme-for-teachers-of-spanish-at-the-instituto-cervantes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fedele.org\/en\/training-programme-for-teachers-of-spanish-at-the-instituto-cervantes\/","title":{"rendered":"Training programme for teachers of Spanish at the Instituto Cervantes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fedele.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/books-classroom-close-up-289737.jpg\" alt=\"formaci\u00f3n Instituto Cervantes\" width=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Amongst the annual activities of the Instituto Cervantes there is a programme specifically for teacher training.\u00a0 This programme, which includes both classroom and online courses, is organised and coordinated by the <strong>Centro de Formaci\u00f3n de Profesores,<\/strong> which is directed by <strong>Elena Verd\u00eda.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As the Instituto Cervantes explains on their website, this programme \u201cis aimed at teachers of second and foreign languages and other professional people with close links to the teaching and learning of languages. The courses are grouped in three main categories according to their purpose: starting out in the profession, looking into particular aspects of the profession, taking steps towards assuming new responsibilities and to generating changes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>list of courses<\/strong>\u00a0is arranged in various groups: those which are run by the Centro de Formaci\u00f3n de Profesores and those which are co-organised with other institutions (universities, foundations or associations like FEDELE). The CFP also takes part in the organisation of a Masters programme together with UIMP and the UNED.<\/p>\n<p>The following text is from the section of training programmes which are specifically organised with FEDELE: \u201cThe courses organised in collaboration with <strong>FEDELE<\/strong> are another example of the Instituto Cervantes\u2019 and FEDELE\u2019s commitment to quality in the teaching of Spanish. It is hoped that the courses will provide a contribution to the commitment of teachers in the Accredited Schools and the FEDELE member schools to in-service training and professional development.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As well as the programme of courses, this unit of the Instituto Cervantes carries out another two <strong>activities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Linguistic and cultural refresher courses<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Instituto Cervantes increases training possibilities with other activities, apart from the ones mentioned above, which are directed at teachers who are interested in increasing or updating their knowledge of Hispanic language and cultures.
