As usual, the conference will be held at the Madrid-Princesa campus of the University of Nebrija.<\/p>\n<p>The aims of the conference are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To obtain an overall picture of the guidelines directing the work of teachers of foreign languages.<\/li>\n<li>To consider concepts and beliefs concerning teaching and learning.<\/li>\n<li>To approach new ideas of methodology for the teaching and learning of Spanish as a Foreign Language.<\/li>\n<li>To get to know the contributions that research in related fields can offer teachers of foreign languages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The programme for the event is as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday 29<sup>th<\/sup> September<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>9:30h -11:00h: Lecture: The cognitive bases of social interaction. Victoria Escandell (UNED).<\/li>\n<li>11:30h \u2013 12:00h: Publisher\u2019s presentation. Carlos Barroso (SGEL).<\/li>\n<li>12:00h \u2013 13:30h: Workshop: The didactics of aural comprehension in Spanish as a Foreign Language. Susana Mart\u00edn Leralta (Universidad Nebrija).<\/li>\n<li>15:30h \u2013 17:00h: Lecture: Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language\/Spanish L2: The state of play. Manel Lacorte (University of Maryland).<\/li>\n<li>17:15h \u2013 18:45h: Workshop. Round table: Methodological revision in the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language. Moderated by Dr. Bel\u00e9n Moreno de los R\u00edos. Participants: Elena Verd\u00eda (Instituto Cervantes), Sonsoles Fern\u00e1ndez (EOI de Madrid) y Miquel Llobera (University of Barcelona).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday 30<sup>th<\/sup> September<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>9:30h-11:00h: Taller: What to do with the C1 students?
