The event will be held within the framework of \u00a0<strong>LIBER 2017<\/strong>, FERIA INTERNACIONAL DEL LIBRO with the support of IFEMA and the PLATAFORMA DEL ESPA\u00d1OL.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses and institutions involved in economic activity related to the Spanish language will come together to consider current issues, to share innovative projects and to create synergies with the following objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To spread information on Language Technology which is being developed around the Spanish language.<\/li>\n<li>To promote the internationalisation of Spanish culture and language, emphasising its richness.<\/li>\n<li>To encourage the growth of Spanish throughout the world by increasing its teaching and strengthening the position of Spain as a destination for cultural and language tourism.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Amongst the activities planned for the event there will be: presentations, round tables for reflection, workshops, interactive games, and also a business forum where participants will be able to meet with companies and professionals from the sector and create new opportunities for business.<\/p>\n<p>FEDELE will be taking part this year with two activities which will take place on the 4<sup>th<\/sup> October:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>00-13.00 Round table for reflection. \u201cSpain as an Education Destination: A Regional Perspective\u201d.<\/strong>The following people will be taking part: Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Casero, President of Espa\u00f1ol en Andaluc\u00eda, Ricardo Ortiz, President of the Asociaci\u00f3n de Escuelas de Espa\u00f1ol de Castilla y Le\u00f3n,\u00a0Eva Batalla, President of FEDELE Comunidad Valenciana and Stephen Jenkins, President of FEDELE Madrid.<\/li>\n<li><strong>00 -16.30:\u00a0<\/strong>Presentation. \u201cLanguage holidays in Spain. Statistics for 2016\u201d, by Mari Carmen Timor Catal\u00e1, President of FEDELE.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other important institutions and companies taking part in this second year of <\/strong><strong>FIE 2.0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>include: the <\/strong>Real Academia Espa\u00f1ola, the Instituto Cervantes, the University of Alcal\u00e1, the Direcci\u00f3n General de Turismo de la Comunidad de Madrid, the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid,\u00a0the Fundaci\u00f3n Ortega y Gasset-Gregorio Mara\u00f1\u00f3n, the Fundaci\u00f3n San Mill\u00e1n de la Cogolla and many other companies involved in the growth, innovation and expansion of the Spanish economy.
