The course entitled <em><strong>Coping successfully with foreign language teaching: Evaluating options and making decisions<\/strong><\/em> is intended for language teachers, language school directors, publishers and other Spanish as a Foreign Language professionals.<\/p>\n<p>The Director of the Instituto Cervantes, <strong>V\u00edctor Garc\u00eda de la Concha<\/strong>, will open the course on the11th July. He will be followed by the Director of Education of the Instituto Cervantes, <strong>Richard Bueno Hudson<\/strong>, who will give a talk on tools for evaluating teaching, learning and their management. Immediately after this, <strong>Jes\u00fas Fern\u00e1ndez Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> from the University of Salamanca will make a presentation on language courses abroad as a context for learning Spanish as a Foreign Language.<\/p>\n<p>The programme includes various <strong>round table discussions<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Learning a second language in an international context.<\/li>\n<li>Challenges for publishers in the face of new methods of learning in the 21st century.<\/li>\n<li>Training directed towards employment in the Spanish as a Foreign Language market.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The course also includes the following <strong>presentations<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Evaluating effective commercial options adapted to our objectives, <\/em><strong>Victoria Rubini Garc\u00eda-Ruiz<\/strong>\u00a0(Instituto Cervantes)<\/li>\n<li><em>How to convert a Spanish language programme into a life experience<\/em>, <strong>Mar\u00eda del Carmen Timor<\/strong>\u00a0(FEDELE).<\/li>\n<li><em>The professional development of a teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language,<\/em> <strong>Elena Verd\u00eda Lle\u00f3<\/strong>\u00a0(Instituto Cervantes).<\/li>\n<li><em>Professional orientation for language teachers: professional opportunities, entrepreneurial initiatives, business models,<\/em> <strong>Carolina Rojas\u00a0<\/strong>(ESADE).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The general secretary of the Instituto Cervantes\u00a0<strong>Rafael Rodr\u00edguez-Ponga<\/strong>, will close the course on Wednesday 13th July with a ceremony at which diplomas will be given to the people attending.<\/p>\n<p>The full programme can be downloaded with\u00a0this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucm.es\/data\/cont\/media\/www\/pag-13641\/73302.pdf\">link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Image copyright: FEDELE.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a couple of weeks, from the 11th to the 13th July, a training course organised by the Instituto Cervantes in collaboration with the Complutense University will take place in El Escorial.
