The event is organised by the Asociaci\u00f3n de Escuelas de Espa\u00f1ol of Granada and its main objective is to promote interest in the learning of Spanish throughout the world. As is logical, the festival also looks to consolidate Granada\u00b4s position as a destination for language and cultural tourism.<\/p>\n<p>The guest country this year is the <strong>United Kingdom<\/strong> and so some of the conferences and round-tables will be dealing with questions concerning the teaching and promotion of Spanish in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>The entire academic programme of FLECOS will be held at the Granada Conference Centre on the 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2<sup>nd<\/sup> and 3<sup>rd<\/sup> of April but there is also an additional cultural programme of performances and visits.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MNoyFgtWtsA\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>More information is available on the website: <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flecosgranada.es\">www.flecosgranada.es<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In just a few weeks the second FLECOS, el Festival Internacional de la Lengua, la Cultura y el Ocio, will take place in Granada.
