Spanish is the second language of global communication and constitutes an immense wealth and an economic resource of the first order for Spain. Studying Spanish, be it for academic, professional or personal reasons, has become the goal of thousands and thousands of people all over the world. In many countries, Spanish has been the second foreign language in formal education for years and in many companies and institutions, knowledge of Spanish is highly valued. The internationalisation of our companies and the vitality of our cultural and sporting events have contributed to creating a positive and stimulating image of Spain.<\/p>\n
Linguistic competence must always go hand in hand with the development of socio-cultural and intercultural competence. For this reason, knowledge of our country, our culture, our way of life and our social relations, and our artistic expressions is also a major objective for thousands of people who study our language and who want to experience Spain and the Spanish language at first hand.<\/p>\n

FEDELE schools, spread throughout Spain, have for many years represented the effort and enthusiasm of business people, teachers, administrative, marketing and financial teams involved in promoting the study of Spanish, making our good academic work known, creating programmes and designing curriculums, teaching with the most modern approaches, accompanying students of Spanish in the discovery of our culture and our landscapes. In other words, the 102 FEDELE schools represent and embody the passion for Spanish and for education in Spanish.<\/p>\n
The Instituto Cervantes, with its Accreditation System, has contributed decisively, since the year 2000, to the improvement of our academic activity and to the creation and implementation of quality standards that make our schools an example of quality and good work. We work closely with the Instituto Cervantes in organising and conducting official DELE, CCSE and SIELE exams.<\/p>\n
We also have the support and recognition of Turespa\u00f1a and the help, in our promotional work, of numerous institutions and organisations in the different autonomous regions.<\/p>\n
Our hope, our commitment and our objective is to continue to develop this work of promoting Spanish by collaborating with institutions, in order to generate a growing flow of students who come to Spain, to our schools, to further their learning. They will be promoters and will act as ambassadors of Spain in their respective countries.<\/p>\n
We want the media and institutions to give Spanish its rightful place as a generator of wealth, prestige and culture. As an economic resource of first order and also as a means of communication and understanding between people and countries. As a language of dialogue and as a bridge to Hispanic America.<\/p>\n
