Toledo Cathedral<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

A visit to the Cathedral of Toledo (Saint Mary Cathedral) is a must. It is one of the most impressive cathedrals in the world and one of the most beautiful places in the city. It was built from 1221 to 1493. The main fa\u00e7ade has a richly enriched tower of more than 92 m in height.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Primate Cathedral of Toledo<\/strong> is home to the largest number of preserved medieval stained glass windows, such as those in the rose window of the transept, those in the main chapel and those with large figures of saints and apostles on the east side.<\/span><\/div>\n

The rich sculptural repertoire present in every corner has doctrinal and didactic as well as artistic functions. The choir on the outside shows numerous scenes from the old testament.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Old Town<\/h2>\n

The Alcazar is one of the sites that represents Toledo, a medieval fortress located at the top of the city. It has its origins in Roman times, but in 1526, King Carlos I brought his court to the city and rebuilt the building.<\/p>\n

One of the most important museums in the city is the El Greco Museum. It is a house-museum dedicated solely to the exhibition of the art of Domenikos Theotokopoulos, who was born in Crete, but whose works are collected in Toledo.<\/p>\n
