The week of Spanish in Málaga was held this year from January 14 to 20, 2019 focusing on the Language Tourism industry and the Study Abroad, with Málaga as a destination. The main objective of these seminars has been to bring together teachers, senior academics, representatives of regional and local institutions, international educators and educational consultants in Málaga and thus promote Málaga as one of the best destinations for learning Spanish.

Malaga Education Week (MEW) is a NACEM (Association of Spanish Schools in Málaga) initiative that had the collaboration of public and private entities among which FEDELE has included. Thus, the inaugural ceremony held at the Rector of the University of Malaga was attended by Carlota Rylance, current president of EEA, and Julio Morales, vice president of FEDELE.

In the first edition, the focus was more on Spanish as an economic resource. In this second edition, however, the focus has changed, and the Spanish teacher has become the protagonist for being the indispensable element in this sector, analyzing his situation, training and assessment and which is estimated that over to 155 Spanish teachers have attended the event.

From FEDELE we congratulate the success of this second edition on the whole organization and on promoting and spreading Málaga in particular and Spain in general as the ideal destination to study Spanish.
