FEDELE en Enele 2018

Foreign Language, Enele 2018, will take place. This is a project which has been designed by Jane Arnold and organised by Language and Cultural Encounters and the Centro Superior de Lenguas Modernas of the University of Cádiz. FEDELE will once again be collaborating.

Enele 2018 is aimed at teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language. The workshops will be led by well-known speakers who have many years of teaching experience and the participants will be given the opportunity to meet with each other to discuss their profession and to share their experiences.

This 30 hour long international advanced training event for ELE teachers will be certified by the University of Cadiz and has as its title “Reflect, discover, cooperate: reinforcing the desire to learn, in and outside of the classroom”.

The academic programme is made up of an inaugural talk and seven workshops. The following people will be taking part: José Plácido Ruiz Campillo (Columbia University), Jane Arnold (University of Seville), Álvaro García Santa-Cecilia (Instituto Cervantes), José Angel Medina (Universidad Complutense), Rosana Acquaroni (Universidad Complutense), Begoña García Migura (University of Louvain), Héctor Ríos Santana (University of Cagliari) and Edi Carrascal (actor and specialist in teacher training).

Enele will also provide an opportunity to enjoy the history, cuisine, beaches and culture of Cádiz, the ancient city in the south of Spain surrounded by sea. There will be a cultural programme with different activities – guided walks, food tastings, Carnaval… This will complement the academic programme and provide the so-called “moments to share” in which participants and speakers can share their teaching experiences at the same time as getting to know Cadiz, a three thousand year-old city known for its balmy temperatures, its beaches and the friendliness of its people.
