Ambassador of Spain Awards in Hungary 2018
This year the third edition of the Spanish Embassy Prize in Hungary has been organized, in which FEDELE collaborates with the sponsorship of ten of our schools: Academia de Español K2, AIL Madrid, BCNLip, Cervantes Escuela Internacional, Costa de Valencia, Debla, Cursos de Español, Instituto Andalusí de español, Instituto de idiomas de Ibiza, Proyecto Español Alicante and Spanish Courses Unamuno; In addition, from FEDELE we send a totem and brochures of our federation.
The aim of this award has been, once again, to recognize academic excellence, creativity, the performance of extracurricular activities and the knowledge of Spanish of the most outstanding students of the bilingual sections of Spanish in Hungary.
The Ambassador of Spain,. Mrs. Anunciada Fernández de Córdova, praised the efforts of the award-winning students who deserve respect and special recognition, and also congratulated the teachers and parents who unconditionally support these young people. The members of the Selection Committee have been able to verify that the candidates have talent and creativity, that they work diligently in academics and in other areas such as music, dance, sports. Everyone has shown that, in addition to acquiring technical knowledge, they are generous and open people to learn more about the world. The recipients of the award are young people from the last two courses of the Hungarian-Spanish bilingual training, enrolled in one of the seven institutes that offer this teaching. High performance and participation in varied activities such as theater, national and international projects, translation, various competitions, exchanges, etc. They were the most valued when making the scale of the thirty-nine candidates.
The awards ceremony took place in a formal act, within the framework of a reception at the Residence of the Ambassador of Spain, on Saturday, October 27. The winners, their parents, teachers and directors of the Institutes where they study were invited to this reception. The twelve students received a glass plate with their name, a diploma and bonus to enjoy Spanish cuisine in restaurants in Budapest. The two best students received a special award: a Spanish course at a FEDELE school in Spain, accommodation and travel, all thanks to the collaboration and contribution of several organizations such as FEDELE, Spanish schools and the University of Navarra, and representations of Spanish ministries, such as Turespaña, Instituto Cervantes, Education Department and the Spanish Embassy.
