XXVI Encuentro Práctico ELE Barcelona

The pre-programme  for one of the most important events for teacher training in Spanish as a Foreign Language – the Practical Conference on Spanish as a Foreign Language, organised by the publishers Difusión and International HouseBarcelona, has already been announced. This year it will take place on the 21st and 22nd December.

As the organisers have indicated, the conference will be “two days of intense exchange and debate with colleagues from many different contexts and from many different corners of the world who will be offering practical ideas for our classes. We will be able to see the latest innovations in teaching materials, get to know new trends in methodology, and share all types of experiences. As in previous years,  it will be a conference to “meet up again” and together to grow as teachers.”

The plenary sessions will be led by:

  • Neus Figueras, “The CEFR (The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) Companion Volume: brief description and possible impact on teaching and evaluation.”
  • José Plácido a Campillo, “Do the math: why is the grammar-fiction of Gramatrix attractive? And how to get out.
  • Fernando Trujillo, “Socialisation in the Spanish as a Foreign Language classroom: occupying the space between Facebook and the cafeteria”.

A timetable for the presentations and a list of the speakers for the workshops will soon be made available on the event webpage.  One of the great advantages of practical conferences is being able to share classroom teaching experiences with colleagues.
