This edition will have a hundred attendees, including international agents from Italy, Holland, Germany, Poland, South Korea, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Spain, Slovakia, France, Japan, Serbia, Georgia, Thailand and Russia.
The event will have an innovative format based on social networking that offers cultural, tourist and gastronomic activities that allow participants to know the highlights of the offer in cultural and linguistic immersion programs in Spain while enjoying emblematic places of Tenerife.
This year’s edition will feature Japan as a special guest thanks to the collaboration of Turespaña in the invitation of agents from that country and more than 30 representatives from schools throughout Spain and 40 international consultants specialized in language stays.
FEDELE is the Spanish Federation of Associations of Spanish Schools as a Foreign Language, and currently has 96 schools spread throughout the national territory. All FEDELE centers are accredited centers by Instituto Cervantes for the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language.
Up to 572 million people speak Spanish in the world and 21.2 million more study it as a foreign language. Idiomatic tourism, which generates more than 2,000 million euros per year, has a gigantic growth potential. Spanish in the world does not stop growing. 7.8% of the world’s population uses it, according to the Instituto Cervantes, which estimates an increase of the total number to 754 million speakers by mid-century.
Around 200,000 of these students choose Spain as a destination for a cultural stay and linguistic immersion, registering an average stay of almost three weeks and an expenditure of around 2,500 euros for the teaching method, the teaching material and the teaching staff, as well as the climate, the cultural offer, the quality-price ratio and the way of life.
