On October 8, 9 and 10, FEDELE will celebrate in Ibiza and Palma the ¡VAMOS! Spanish in Spain- FEDELE workshop with the sponsorship of the Agència de Turisme de les Illes Balears, Fundació Turisme Palma de Mallorca 365 of the City Council of Palma, the Consell d’Eivissa and the Town Hall of Ibiza. This event is an action for the promotion of the Balearic Islands as a linguistic and cultural educational destination and in which the relations between language schools are promoted with educational consultants from all over the world specialized in linguistic stays. The event has the support and presence of the Instituto Cervantes in the different activities.
This year’s edition will be celebrated with Korea as a special guest thanks to the collaboration of Turespaña in the invitation of agents from that country and more than 30 schools from all over Spain and 40 international consultants will participate. From October 11, the invited agencies will participate in some of the familiarization trips organized to Andalucía, Madrid and Comunidad Valenciana with the aim of being able to also visit the Spanish schools and the cultural offer of these Communities.
The event in Ibiza and Palma is developed in workshop format with pre-established appointments between agencies and educators. In addition to these technical meetings, the program offers cultural and gastronomic events that allow participants to know the highlights of our offer in programs of cultural and linguistic immersion.
FEDELE is the Spanish Federation of Associations of Spanish Schools as a Foreign Language, and currently has 89 schools spread throughout the national territory. The Balearic Islands is represented by the FEDELE Balearic Association, which is formed by International House Palma, Berlitz Palma and the Language School of Ibiza. All FEDELE centers are accredited centers by the Instituto Cervantes for the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language. In 2016 almost 100,000 students, with an average stay of 2.8 weeks, took Spanish courses at FEDELE schools.
