FEDELE Castilla y León

The Association of Spanish Schools in Castilla y León (AEECyL) was founded in 1996 with various objectives including: defending the image and prestige of its member schools; forming links with different public and private organizations; promoting the Spanish language and culture; and ensuring the quality of the centers that belong to it.

The Association of Spanish Schools of Castilla y León works with public bodies, such as regional government and local councils, in areas such as the organization of promotional events, the formulation and application of systems that guarantee teaching quality.

In 2020, the Association of Spanish Schools of Castilla y León has been renamed by FEDELE Castilla y León.

What guarantees does a FEDELE center offer its clients?

The Association of Spanish Schools in Castilla y León is a founder member of the Federation of Schools of Spanish as a Foreign Language (FEDELE). This allows the centers that are part of our association to prove a quality and to be subject to periodic controls by the Instituto Cervantes, only schools that have accreditation from the Instituto Cervantes can be part of FEDELE.

A FEDELE center offers its clients a quality status in Spanish Teaching in Spain. All the schools that are part of the Federation benefit from the priority lines in which FEDELE works:

The continuous training of the teachers and the managers of our centers, the promotion of our courses in the fairs and events of the sector in Spain and outside Spain and of course of a continuous business development for the owners of the schools.

Although the most important thing that FEDELE can offer its clients is the intercommunication created between the centers of the different autonomous communities. Throughout the year, FEDELE organizes numerous meetings to discuss past, present and future of the sector. The growth and perspective in those cases is also a constant learning.

What changes have you seen in these years?

The sector is a roller coaster. This is undeniable. It is true that he is in good health and that his growth can be infinite, but we must be attentive to the changes. The client is in a continuous process of change. More than 25 years ago, the market was dominated by individual students. Nowadays the groups have taken the lead and the individual student has become a treasure that we must take care of and empower to reach figures from other eras.

Winning the confidence of the individual student through a personalized and quality service, away from the volume and magnitude of the groups will provide our centers with a feedback that will surely make us grow. Caring for and respecting the personal motivation of the student who comes to our centers is fundamental.

What does Castilla y León offer to learn Spanish?

An essential visit are many of its destinations such as Ávila, Salamanca and Segovia (three World Heritage Cities) and unique places such as the Cathedral of Burgos or the Atapuerca Site, with testimonies of the first settlers of Europe. The famous Camino de Santiago also passes through Castilla y León, one of the most important pilgrim routes in the world.
